I evoke worlds of memory, myth and machines.

Poetry, essays and speculative fiction about artificial intelligence, consciousness, identity, time, and mortality—and what remains human in an age of rapidly evolving digital systems, social upheaval, and machine-generated reality.

FRONTIERS approaches the new machine age through poems; the RECKONING essays examine it through argument. The poems and essays continue to be written while the Human-AI relationship they address is changing around them.

The seven-volume Imperfect Offerings series features poems I’ve written over six decades, exploring time, memory, self and others in a rapidly evolving technological era. Anthropocene confronts the climate emergency, while REALMS and FRONTIERS dissect the new machine age and its consequences for human life.

About the author

The writer
behind the work.

I’m a Canadian poet, essayist and speculative fiction writer. My work moves from the seven-volume Imperfect Offerings series and three-volume REALMS trilogy to Anthropocene, FRONTIERS, cultural criticism and speculative stories about artificial minds.

Before turning fully to literary work, I spent decades leading and advising professional associations. That experience informs my scrutiny of technological power, especially human judgement shaped by machine logic.
